Dr. Joseph Purita
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Joseph Purita is a pioneer within the orthopedic surgery community, and his passion to find better, more improved methods of helping heal patients has led him to the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Purita has lectured internationally on five continents regarding the healing effects of stem cells and has been instrumental in helping some countries design their policies concerning the use of regenerative medicine; effectively bringing this unique and advanced practice to more people throughout the world. As one who is never attempting to rest on his laurels, he seeks to constantly improve and elevate the status quo.
Based out of Boca Raton, FL, Dr. Purita, MD graduated from Georgetown University Medical School and served his surgical internship at the University of Florida Medical Center. Following the completion of a residency in orthopedic surgery at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital – where he served as chief administrative resident – Dr. Purita joined the Boca Raton Orthopedic Group in 1981, where he’s been practicing ever since.

Dr. Edward S. Magaziner
Dr. Magaziner is considered one of the foremost pioneers in the area of orthopedic regenerative medicine, and has passionately been helping people with musculoskeletal injuries since 1989. By using minimally invasive
interventional surgical techniques under live ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance, he is able to reach his goal of repairing, regenerating, and eliminating injury and pain along with its causes.
So well-known is Dr. Magaziner that patients seek him out from six surrounding states including New Jersey and New York. Patients have even traveled from as far as Canada, Europe, and South America to seek his unique expertise. From athletes and musicians to golfers and weekend warriors, Dr. Magaziner’s cutting edge orthopedic regenerative medicine techniques allow him to help everyone experiencing pain and injury.
Starting out as a Physical Therapist, Dr. Magaziner went on to complete a year of surgery in a John Hopkins affiliated hospital and finished his residency as Chief Resident at New York Medical College in 1989.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at New York Medical College and a Clinical Professor at Robert Wood Johnson University and enjoys teaching residents and fellows.

Dr. Steven A. Stein

Specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic spine interventions, Dr. Steven Stein has been providing back relief to the South Florida community since 1994. After completing his anesthesiology training at
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he became a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice and board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Pain Medicine, and one of the selected few in South Florida who is Board Certified by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Ralph J. Venuto
Dr. Ralph J. Venuto’s passion is getting players back out on the field, ready to do what they do best – competing and winning. Having performed more than 10,000 knee and shoulder arthroscopy sports related injury surgeries
since 1974, Dr. Venuto knows what it takes to keep people in the game. He is also one of the first surgeons to perform the Carticel Implant Surgery (ACI), which uses a patient’s healthy cells to repair cartilage defects. From college athletes to professional competitors, Dr. Venuto’s expansive knowledge and experience in the sports medicine arena has earned him the reputation as one of the best doctors in Orange County, California.
Dr. Venuto received his medical degree from Jefferson University Medical School in Philadelphia in 1997. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at UCLA from 1967 to 1969. He completed his orthopedic residency at Columbia University in New York in 1972, and became a board certified orthopedic surgeon in 1973.

Dr. Marc Matarazzo

If anybody is equipped to keep players performing at their best, it’s Dr. Matarazzo. After earning his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine and completing his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery
residency Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University, Dr. Matarazzo ended up in New York where he served as Assistant Team Physician for the New York Jets and New York Islanders, as well as for the Hofstra University and Hunter College Athletic Departments.
Having been practicing since 2002, Dr. Matarazzo has developed an intense interest in minimally invasive techniques including smaller incisions and arthroscopy, as well as cartilage restoration and preservation. He also specializes in complex shoulder, hip, and knee injuries. He has lectured and presented extensively both nationally and internationally on many sports medicine topics including ACL Reconstruction, Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair, Achilles Tendon Repair, and Ligament Reconstruction of the Elbow.

Dr. Robert Biscup

He obtained his Masters of Science in Health Sciences Education at Case Western Reserve University, and received his medical degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ian M Schaja

One of the select few in South Florida who is Board Certified by the American Board of International Pain Physicians, Dr. Ian M. Schaja has a long and illustrious reputation serving the South Florida community since 1995.
After completing his anesthesiology training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he went on to complete his residency in which he was named Chief Resident by the attending staff during his final year.
He is additionally Board Certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and American Board of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Schaja has also conducted numerous research studies with major pharmaceutical companies as a principal investigator.
Dr. Harvey Plosker
For over 20 years, Dr. Harvey Plosker has been taking the pain away in the South Florida area. After starting the pain management center at the Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center back in 1992, Dr. Plosker has
helped many people overcome their pain and live a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Plosker completed his residency in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 1984. He completed an anesthesiology fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1985, and is currently board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
Dr. Hyun Hong
Dr. Hyun Hong believes in treating the whole person. He does this by not only offering intervention procedures and medical management, but also by providing nutrition and exercise advice, psychological counseling, and prayer,
effectively treating not only injuries, but the physical, nutritional, mental, and spiritual person as well. Dr. Hong completed an internal medicine internship at Legacy Hospitals Portland, Oregon. He went on to undergo anesthesiology training at the University of Washington in Seattle founded by John Bonica, the originator of multidisciplinary pain management. After practicing anesthesiology in the private sector, Dr. Hong returned for further training in interventional pain management at the world-renowned Texas Tech Pain Institute under Gabor Racz, who created the Racz procedure.
He is double board certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology.
Dr. Kevin Darr
Always at the forefront of the latest, most promising innovations, Dr. Kevin Darr seeks to perpetuate the evolution of modern sports medicine through the use of ground-breaking treatments. Dr. Darr has been treating injuries such as arthritis,
tendonitis, and ligament tears successfully for years. His use of out-of-the-box techniques such as ultrasound guided Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Bone Marrow Aspirate Therapy, Lipoplasty, and Cytokine Therapy has earned him a stellar reputation as an expert in his field.
Based out of Covington, LA, Dr. Darr completed a sports medicine fellowship and joint replacement fellowship at The New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and attended Louisiana State University for medical school and residency training.
